HIGH SCHOOL CAMPS

GRADES 9-12

The Pioneer Position camp will feature position-specific training that focuses on skill development and tactical application for liberos, setters, middle hitters, and left and right side hitters. Each day of camp will include intense position training in the morning followed by team drills in the afternoon where players will have a chance to incorporate the skills they have learned. Campers are divided by position and ability level from intermediate to advanced. All positions will be brought together in the final sessions for tournament play.

**Campers will be required to wear face masks at all times during the camp unless medically they cannot be tolerated

Pioneer Positions Camp

July 5-7, 2021

The Advanced Pioneer camp will focus on advanced skill development and tactical application for liberos, setters, middle hitters, and left and right side hitters. Campers are encouraged, but not required, to attend the Pioneer Positions Camp to learn the foundations prior to attending this more advanced camp. All positions will be brought together in the final sessions for tournament play.

Advanced Pioneer Camp

Attacking/Blocking

  • Campers will receive intensive training in the technical and tactical aspects of attacking and blocking at the collegiate level.  The fundamentals of each skill will be broken down and taught in an easy-to-learn fashion, while also hitting on the intricacies of playing the game at the highest level.  Coaches will touch on technique, tactics, and the decision-making processes for each skill. Open to all positions and players wanting to get better at each skill.

Serving/Passing

  • Campers will receive intensive training in the technical and tactical aspects of serving and passing at the collegiate level.  The fundamentals of each skill will be broken down and taught in an easy-to-learn fashion, while also hitting on the intricacies of playing the game at the highest level.  Coaches will touch on technique, tactics, and the decision-making processes for each skill. Open to all positions and players wanting to get better at each skill.

Setting/Digging

  • Campers will receive intensive training in the technical and tactical aspects of setting and digging at the collegiate level.  The fundamentals of each skill will be broken down and taught in an easy-to-learn fashion, while also hitting on the intricacies of playing the game at the highest level.  Coaches will touch on technique, tactics, and the decision-making processes for each skill.  Open to all positions and players wanting to get better at each skill.
